I adopted 3 llamas 28 September 2005.  Why, as if my plate isn't already overflowing?  Well, they needed a home.  They hadn't been touched in over 5 years -not abused, just neglected.  And it turns out they are interesting, fun creatures too.  I had little idea how to handle them, and fortunately learned of Bobra Goldsmith, a "llama whisperer", at Rocky Mountain Llamas in Longmont.  Bobra spent an entire day with me, teaching me how to handle the beasts, helping me trim toenails and get the worst of the dreadlocks off.  We are eventually going to learn to pack, and perhaps drive!
